KUANTAN: Yayasan Pahang (YP) has partnered with Beyond4, an integrated digital ecosystem, to help Pahang-born graduates, including youths who lost their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic, join programmes that would help them secure high-income jobs.

YP chief operating officer Abd Razak Abu Musa Saari said the programmes offered by Beyond4 will increase the technical skills of graduates in the field of digital technology, in line with the current needs of the industry.

"Knowledge and skills on digital innovation will help increase the marketability of graduates in the job industry. Those who participate in this programme will have the opportunity of becoming high income earners.

"YP's policy is to sponsor students and ensure job guarantees. Once they completed the programmes, they will have jobs ready for them.

"That is the reason we collaborated with Beyond4 as we realise they have the platform to create specially-tailored programmes to suit the future market," he said.

Abd Razak said YP, which has set aside enough funds to sponsor Pahang-born youths for the programme, aims to groom about 200 tech-specialised participants this year and produce about 2,000 young talents in the next three years.

Meanwhile, Beyond4 chief executive officer S.T. Rubaneswaran said the Beyond4 ecosystem, which is the first of its kind in South-East Asia, is made up of five digitally

integrated multi-tier accelerators such as education, skills and upskilling, career and innovation which are designed to support start-ups, entrepreneurs and innovators.

"YP has trusted our concept so we have decided to begin in Pahang. Graduates, final year students along with youths who lost their jobs due to the pandemic are invited to participate," he said, adding there is no age limit for those who wish to join the start- ups programme.

Beyond4 Malaysia advisor Datuk Mohamad Nizar Najib said he hopes the programmes will spur youths in Pahang become high earners, and help the state government to one day significantly contribute to the country's gross domestic product (GDP).
