1. Syarikat mengeluarkan produk berasaskan minuman pra campuran/’instant’ dan servis produk OEM.
Selepas produk dimasukkan ke dalam sachet menggunakan mesin filling, sachet tersebut dimasukkan ke dalam kotak, pouch dan papan secara manual. Proses ini memerlukan pekerja yang ramai dan masa yang lama. Syarikat memerlukan penambahbaikan dari segi proses pembungkusan untuk produk akhir.

Mangosteen Premium Product :
1. The company manufactured mangosteen premium product ‘Ostania Premium Mangosteen Amrita’. Every year they have to process 80-100 tonnes of mangosteen fruits. The initial process of separating the mangosteen peel and flesh was done manually.
For a tonne of mangosteen fruits, it involves 10 workers to peel for 5 days which is not cost effective and time consuming. The company needs to automate the process seperating the mangosteen peel from the flesh.

Bakeri-Roti Pita:
1. Pengeluaran roti pita terpaksa dijalankan secara kaedah semi auto kerana mesin ‘conveyor probes intermediate’ sedia ada tidak dapat diselaraskan mengikut bentuk bulat yang dikehendaki oleh syarikat. Syarikat memerlukan pelarasan kepada
‘mesin conveyor probes intermediate’ tersebut supaya bentuk roti pita dapat diselaraskan mengikut standard yang ditetapkan.
Mesin ‘conveyor probes intermediate’ tidak mempunyai ‘fogging’ secara automatik menyebabkan pekerja perlu membuat fogging secara manual. Ini menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan bahan cecair yang menyebabkan roti berkulat (25% daripada 800 biji roti). Syarikat memerlukan ‘automatic fogging’ pada mesin untuk penyemburan yang seimbang terhadap roti pita supaya produk lebih kekal lama dan memenuhi standard.

Mesin Mengupas Kulit Nenas:
1. Kerja-kerja mengupas kulit nenas dijalankan secara manual yang mengambil masa yang lama. Secara purata, syarikat memproses 1000 biji nenas sebulan pada hari biasa dan akan meningkat sehingga 3-4 kali ganda dimusim perayaan. Proses mengupas nenas perlu dilakukan dalam masa yang singkat bagi mengelakkan nenas menjadi terlalu masak yang akan mempengaruhi warna jem nenas yang siap diproses.
Mesin sedia ada dipasaran hanya sesuai untuk industri pembungkusan nenas dalam tin dimana pengupasan buah mengikut saiz tin. Ia tidak sesuai untuk industri pembuatan jem kerana ia menyebabkan pembaziran dan tidak memberi hasil yang maksimum.

HVAC Decontamination/Cleaning Services :
1. The robot inspection used has very low resolution video camera, cannot focus and tends to blurred. The company needs a new robot inspection for ducting with clearer image for video camera that can record by zooming in and out and better lighting.
2. Mechanical rotating brush is used for the process of ducting decontamination. The brush only has single speed, cannot be adjusted and moves manually.
Therefore, the company needs a better mechanical rotating brush with various speeds to optimize the ducting decontamination/ cleaning.
The vacuum suction blower is not strong enough to extract the contamination from the ducting. The equipment is almost 16 years old and it doesnt work efficiently It is also heavy (70kg) and was not

Solar Water Heater :
Produk ‘Solar Water Heater’ syarikat mempunyai masalah pada bahagian tangki solar iaitu kebocoran dan tangki kemek.
1. Kebocoran
Pelanggan mengadu masalah kebocoran pada tangki solar setelah beberapa bulan pemasangan dibuat.
Pemeriksaan mendapati kebocoran berlaku disebabkan jenis ‘material’ yang digunakan. Hakisan berlaku pada tangki solar dan beberapa sambungan pada bahagian tangki (welding) mungkin disebabkan faktor cuaca/ air hujan berasid.
2. Kemek pada bahagian tangki
Antara faktor terjadinya tangki kemek adalah;
Kepanasan melampau menyebabkan tangki menjadi kembang/membesar dan semasa suis di ON secara automatik menyebabkan tangki kemek.
pemasangan solar mengikut ketinggian. Semakin tinggi tangki solar dipasang, kepanasan diterima oleh tangki solar juga semakin tinggi.
Pemanas/heater dipasang melebihi tempoh masa tertentu menyebabkan tangki udara dalam tangki menjadi tinggi.
Apabila ‘non-return valve’ rosak, ia akan menyebabkan ruang udara yang tinggi dalam tangki.

Modification of Diesel Gas Engine:
1. The company is currently developing a gasifier generation system. The system converts palm biomass into syngas which is then used for power or heat generation. Palm biomass is first converted into syngas using a biomass gasifier. Then, the syngas will be incinerated in boiler or burner to recover its energy content. Alternatively, syngas can be fed into gas engine for power generation. However the capital cost to acquire gas engine is high. The company needs to a more cost effective diesel engine to suit for this application.

PalmPro Carbon Fiber Composite Telescopic Poles:
1. The company produces PalmPro carbon fiber composite telescopic poles for harvesting oil palms and coconuts. The company has problem with humidity that affect the resin curing product quality which leads to high rejection rate.
2. Current process line are exposed to ambient air. The workers need to measure each component and manually mix in an open tank. After thorough mixing, the resin is transfered manually and poured in the resin bath. The resin bath are also exposed to ambient air.
3. The company needs solutions to reduce the humidity surrounding the process lines, dry the fibers before contact to resin and isolate the resin from expose to ambient humidity.

Gender Identification for Arowana:
1. The company provides gender (male/female) identification services to Malaysian Arowana ornamental fish industry. Existing method to determine gender in Arowana fishes is via visual inspection of the physical features based on SIRIM’s piublished Malaysian standard 2536:2013. However the accuracy of the physical method isvery low as there are many physical variations to different fishes, making gender identification via visual method difficult. The company hopes to develop an alternate gender identification method for determining male and female Arowana that is more accurate than current physical inspection, yet simple and low cost enough to be marketed to Arowana breeders.
