ABSTRACT
In this research study, amechanical drain cleaner is offered as a replacement for human drainage cleaning. Cleaningdrainusingtheusualtoollike drain hoe and rubbish pickers isnotaneffective way and can picked rubbish in a small amount.Futhermore, people or labours also easy to catch infections due to the large amountof waste in drain. Therefore, theobjective of this product is to design a product that can pick up rubbish from thedrain usingSolidWorks software and to fabricatean automatic draincleaner. In this product system consists of metal teeth jaws thatwaitat the bottom of the mechanism.Aftera particular time intervals thejawliftsupusingamotorized shaft which is connected usinga chain to thejaws.
Thejaws then reachatthetop and thewastewilldumpintothebasket.Inconclusion, this automatic drain cleaner is way more effective than theusual one and can prevent the high risk ofinfections.

CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
1.0Introduction
Cleaningthedrain is always been a problem.Peopleor labours cleaning thedrain without any tool seems unethical and also leads to high risk of them catching infections.
Also,manyof rubbish likebottle and plastics can leadstonarrowingof drain and eventually blockage the gutter flow.This automatic drain cleaner is designedto automatically catches the waste and more amount of waste can be collect than usual.So,this product helps people faced the problemthat related with blockage drain. It also to easethe way to clean the drain and helpsthesmooth working ofthedrain system. This product is way more efficient
compared to the manual work that usingthetoolsthat can pick little waste. Elangovan K., et al.[1] reviewedthe topic of drainage cleaning because manually cleaning systems is
damaging to human life,automatedsystems should be used to substitute manual effort. This projecteffectivelydisposesofwastethathas been dumped into the drainage systemthat is poisonousorcontains harmful gases. Automatic control of sewage wastewater treatment was achieved using a SiemensPLC controller inthe treatment system of drainage wastewater control bythe stepper motor, compressor,gas exhauster, pressure valve, and theliquidlevel, flow, and other analoguevariables. Auto mechanismis the major controlling unitandthe drainage level a monitor by municipal. In this system we used hand wheel,chain, driver, bucket, frame.Overall,thisautomated drain cleaner is manufactured to easy theusage of cleaning the drain and also prevent the blockage of it.
1.1 Overview ofProject
Blocked drainsare one of the problems people willface if lacked taking care of surrounding or left thewaste outof ignorance. Blockeddrain usually the result from foreign materialsanddirt accumulating in the pipe that carries and dumps waste water. These
materialsmight be food waste, plastic bottles, boxes, and pieces of some other miscellaneous junk. Thus, thisproject is producedto collect the rubbish from the drain automatically. This
automaticdrain cleaneralsoproduced to prevent from people catches infections duetothe largeamount of waste.
This drain cleaner has been emphasized from different aspect to make it more useful thantheusual one to tackle these modern-day jamming issues.The system of this automated drain cleaner is let fluidflowthroughitbutcatcheslarge solid waste. Hence, this cleaner needs to collect that type of rubbishinsteadofthe entire drain floor.This product consists of metal teeth jawthat collects the rubbish and the jawswill wait atthe bottom of the product. After a particular time, these jawswillliftusing a motorized shaft connected usingachain tothe jaws. This product consistsofa filter basket to collect therubbishintoit.
Thejawswillliftthe rubbish up andthrow it into the basket. Now,afterdumpingthe waste, themotorrotatesagain to bringthe jaw again to thebottom position to collect morewaste.
Another function of this drain cleaner isthatafterthefilterbasketis full,people can manually pushthe pusher, to compress thetrash. More rubbish can fill up the filterbasket. This
example has proventhat this projecthas been enhanced compared to the product that currently exists in the market.
After all of this product has been completed, post mortemhas to be done tocheck deficiency of theproductthat customers willget in thefuturebydiscussion to preventfrom dissatisfied from customers. This product willbe designed in SolidWorks software whichisa 3D simulation.
1.2 Problem statement
Blocked drain hasbeen a problemfor several peoplethat left the waste outof
ignorance. It willbe worse ifthe drain is not cleaning regularly.People also seem to beabit scared of catching infections or poisoning due to abundant of chemicals in the drain.
Throwing aplastic bottle or otherobjects leads to thedrainnarrowing and eventually
blockage the drain flow. Other than that, product can only fillup several trash and the basket willbefull.So , the first trip ofbasket need to throw it first to collect another trip of rubbish.
1.3 Objective
1) Todesign andfabricateanautomatic drain cleaner that can pick up rubbish from the drain using SolidWorks software
2) To testing aproductwhich is automatic drain cleaner that can pick up and collect more rubbish.
