NOTICE

RECOVERY OF DEBTS

The Malaysian and Communications and Multimedia Commission (“Commission”) hereby wishes to announce that this serves as a notice in respect of the debt recovery processes undertaken by the Commission pursuant to the laws governed by the Commission.

Debt would include outstanding payment statutorily and contractually required to be made to the Commission (“Debt”).

Upon the accrual of Debt, the Commission will issue reminder letters stipulating the payment deadline to the debtors (“Reminder Letters”).

Simultaneously, the Commission is open to negotiations and/or payment proposals by the debtors to expedite settlements.

In the event that the debtors have failed, refused and/or neglected to settle the Debt upon the lapse of the deadline stipulated in the Reminder Letters, or have failed to pay any sum owing to the Commission pursuant to a judgment obtained by the Commission following the non-payment of the Debt (“Adjudicated Debt”), the Commission at its own discretion shall proceed with the following recourse:

(a) civil action, which may include winding-up proceedings for non-payment of Adjudicated Debt;

(b) regulatory action, as duly provided under the law governed by the Commission which may include cancellation or suspension of licence;

and/or

(c) administrative action, as duly determined by the Commission which may include blacklisting.
