ASS Rapid Transit Corp (MRT Corp) anticipates that the completion of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang '(SBK) Line will result in a drop of 160,000 cars in the Klang Valley.Its strategic communications and stakeholder relations director, Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah, said he was optimistic since the MRT service between Sungai Buloh and Kajang, to be fully operational in July, was expected to ferry 400,000 passengers da1ly.
Najmuddin said most of the sta- tions had been positioned in high- density housing areas to cater for residents to commute to the city.
The areas include Kwasa Damansara, Kota Damansara; Mu-
tiara Damansara, Bandar Utama, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Phileo Damansara, Semantan, Bukit Dukung, Batu Sebelas Cheras, Ban- dar Tun Hussein Onn, and Taman Suntex.
These areas are not served by any urban rail service now.
Each train set serving the line wfll have four cars, allowing a total ca- pacity of 1,200 passen- gers, and a .frequency of 3.5 minutes.
