This means that the system becomes an intelligence system because it has the ability to make a decision based on given information. With the implementation of data mining in the system, it will make the system gain more value and it will help people to make a decision faster without involving emotions or other difficulties. To make the system work better, data mining can be used in the system.

However, the function of the system is only to view the supplier's rate and does not assist the user in choosing which supplier is the best choice. Therefore, a system applicable to data mining is needed, which means that the system will help the user choose which supplier to use, after considering and analyzing some factors, and make full use of the data contained in are produced by the company. Therefore, after the data analysis is done using the data mining technique, a system will be developed and the output of the system will be compared with the actual decision of the user.

The system will be developed by using Visual Basic language and data mining machine learning software which is WEKA to compare whether the result produced by the system is correct or not.

As a result, data mining had become one of the most important areas of research to develop a powerful tool. Supplier logistics is a person or company that manages the flow of goods, information, or other resources between the point of origin and the point of consumption to meet customer demands. In a logistics service provider, for example MILS, they usually outsource their logistics suppliers to deliver the customer's goods from one point to another point.

Business logistics involved all processes that need to be done to move the goods from one place to another place. Ocean freight sellers involved any activities to move containers using ocean transportation such as ship or cargo. In mining data from supplier logistics data, most businessmen currently do not know the importance of mining that data using data mining technique.

Therefore, to manipulate and find patterns of the data, we must follow steps in the technique used and their algorithm. Finding the right technique is important to get the right pattern without wasting a lot of time analyzing the data. There are many products of data mining that used the same concept as this system.

In the development of supplier rate system, the author used Naive Bayes Classifier to analyze data because this technique can be successfully used in decision support system. To use data mining tools effectively, a large amount of past data is needed. In a nutshell, every data set can be transformed into useful knowledge using data mining technique.

This phase also included some research into which data mining technique will be used to analyze data. From there, the pattern and highest probability are calculated and codes are developed based on the result of the pattern. After the development and design phase is completed, a system-wide error check is performed by the user.

In this phase, the system will be installed on the user's computer and the user's decision on the choice of suppliers will be collected. From the activities of the project, a proper Gantt chart had been developed showing activities for each phase and time period that will be taken for each activity as shown in Figure 2. In this system Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition will be used to develop interfaces and codes.

WEKA machine learning software will be used as a tool to compare the dataset result with the result generated by the system.

So for this department there are four suppliers who offer this service: Superior, Tiong Wang, Tiong Hang and Gan Fatt. There are two departments that deal with suppliers: the Freight Forwarding department and the Customer Service department. In the surveys, there are five factors that each staff member must assess: the level of service, service quality, on-time delivery, availability of services and customer satisfaction.

For service prices from domestic transport suppliers, there are four companies that offer very good prices and were agreed by all the survey respondents as shown in Figure 3. From the result in Figure 4, although there are companies that offer low prices, but they offered bad prices. quality services. Staff in the department had encountered some problem using the current method of selecting a supplier.

Even though they offer a low rate, there are some that offer low quality services such as late delivery, unsecured monitoring for item delivery, customer's items always broken or involved in major accidents. This is clearly seen in the results of the surveys answered by the company's staff. Another problem is that when there are multiple suppliers offering the same lowest rate, it will be difficult for the responsible staff to make a decision when choosing which supplier to use.

After collecting all necessary information and realizing current problems in the department, analysis of data and result of interview must be done. Therefore, from the research that had been done, there are four important factors that will be used as attributes to find the supplier's class, which are price ranges, destination, based location and type of each specific type that is needed. There are three people who will use this system which is the user who is basically the staff of the department, the database administrator who will update and manage the database stored historical data and data mining analyst who will regularly check the data mining technique pattern and result to ensure the result produced is always accurate.

As shown in the activity diagram (Figure 7), the user must choose which services they want to use. There are three services that the company needs, namely land transport, sea freight and crane/forklift.

After the company's problem was discovered, the system was developed according to what the user needed.

System Function

The system displays the page as Figure 10 when the user clicks the domestic transportation button. When the user chooses per tonnage or per trip, the page as in Figure 11 is basically shown. After the user chooses the attribute value, the system generates the result: the supplier with the highest probability, as shown in Figure 12.

As discussed above, the system uses the Na'ive Bayes formula to classify the previous transaction between vendors that have the same attribute values ​​as the one the user had selected. When the customer chooses this type of service, the user must also choose what the customer wants, and the price for the selected criteria will be shown to the user as shown in Figure 14. For this service function, the user will thus be able to see the supplier's price per monthly or daily depending on the choice of crane/forklift type, as shown in figure 15.

Therefore, in sea freight services, before selecting a vendor, the user will be asked whether the customer really cares about the vendor's reputation or does not mind using a vendor that has a bad reputation for customer complaints, before selecting a vendor. So, for this reason, after the user selects the customer option, the system will inform the user whether the customer cares or not cares about the customer complaint, as shown in Figure 16. Below are two results if he chooses to care about the number of complaints and vice versa , as shown in Figure 17.

Another function included in the system is the function of e-mail and information about each seller's company. With the email feature, once the user knows the best seller they want to use, the user can email the seller directly through this feature. All the details about the seller like responsible person and email address can be obtained in the system as shown in Figure 18.

SYSTEM

In conclusion, with the existing system, it will prove that an intelligence system is very important for companies to succeed. In this project, the result of the system that used data mining techniques will be compared with the actual result chosen by the user. After doing some research, data mining is used in many fields such as financial application, analysis of basket stores and others.

There are also some projects that have been developed abroad that are quite similar to the system that should come with a decision, but those projects are in different fields. Since this project used historical transaction data, there will be a problem if the company joins new vendors because this technique will select the highest occurrence in choosing a vendor. Thus, for this problem, it is recommended that a user review the result produced by the system and it is up to the company management whether they want to give the opportunity to the new seller or not.

Therefore, in short, all data contains business activities that have been produced and stored and can be converted into new and useful information. With this new information, this system can help people/staff make quick decisions and improve the business activity process. In the future, to see whether or not the developed system is useful for the department, an analysis should be made of the result of the system and the user's final choice.
