Response to “Intraclass correlation coefficient and reliability of muscle mass measurements”
We noted that our publication1was cited by ˙Ilgen and Uçar2comparing studies reporting interclass correlation coefficients (ICCs). The authors noted that the model used for the ICC derivation in our paper was not cited. Most studies, not just related to this subject matter, also miss out this detail when reporting.
For your interest, we calculated the ICC using the two-way random- effects model with absolute agreement to determine the validity of ultrasound imaging against computed tomography–scan measure- ments.
Thank you for raising this point, and we hope this additional infor- mation justifies your query.
