INTRODUCTION
1. Alhamdulillah, I am most grateful to Allah SWT, the most Gracious and most Merciful, for His blessings in giving us the opportunity to gather here at the International Academic Lecture Series to our special guest today from the National Defence University, Warsaw, Poland. For your information, this is our First International Academic Lecture Series for 2014.
2. It is a pleasure to welcome Major General Boguslaw Pacek (sebutan:
Boguslov Patzeck) who has come all the way from Poland. Major Gen.
Boguslaw Pacek will be deliberating on “Organization, Status and Function of Higher Military Education System in Poland and willingly

3. Major Gen. Boguslaw Pacek (sebutan: Boguslov Patzeck), currently serves as a rector commandant at the National Defence University, Warsaw, has made a lot of contribution to the community through his military service.
Besides, he is also known to write books and articles about military police and operations of the European Union, and an active participant in many scientific conferences.
4. Ladies and gentlemen, UniMAP has had a very strong relationship with Polish government and institutions, thank to the support from His Excellency Adam Jelonek.
5. In previous years, we have hosted several institutions from Poland notably BOYM Consortium, National Defence University, Bormar industries as well as the Polish Peace Mission Exhibition on 20th February 2013. We have signed Memorandum of understanding with institutions namely BOYM, Kozminski University and AGH Science and Technology University. In addition UniMAP went to Poland a couple of times for benchmarking and academic visit, in fact our Chancellor His Royal Highness the Crown Prince led a delegation consisting of PALAPES troop (Reserve Officer Training Unit) from a few Malaysian universities in 2012 to Poland and another delegation from UniMAP visited Krakow in 2013.

6. Today, in this auditorium, it is not about the academic lecture series only, but, we are also going to witness the MoU Signing ceremony between the National Defence University and UniMAP.

I am indeed very honored and privileged to be with you at this beautiful evening, and to join you in witnessing this momentous occasion. This marks the networking and the strong relation between UniMAP and National Defence University (NDU).
8. The documents we sign today is important and as a basis to further strengthen the cooperation in research and development, innovation, exchanging of the students and staff, joint symposium and many more.
As an educational institution, UniMAP plays an important role not only in educating students, but also to respect the importance of the military education in higher learning institutions.
9. Through this lecture, I hope we can all enhance our knowledge and make this meeting a platform for intellectual discourse and discussion.

10. I would like to express my appreciation to the organizing committee, who have worked hard to organize this program. May God reward all of you for this commendable effort.
