THE 19TH SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MINISTERS’ ROUNDTABLE
PUTRAJAYA, 3 October 2022 - Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham bin Baba spoke on the theme for the year 2022; ‘Mission Oriented Research’ and ‘Post COVID-19 Society and Science Technology and Innovation’ on 1st October 2022 at the 19th Science and Technology Ministers Roundtable held at Kyoto International Conference Center, Japan in hybrid mode.
The 19th Science and Technology Ministers’ Roundtable is organised by the Cabinet Office, Government of Japan and brings together the minister and science advisers from all around the world to exchange views on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI). This Ministers’ Roundtable is a partner event of the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum which takes place onwards starting from 2nd to 4th October 2022.
Chaired by H.E. Takaichi Sanae, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy of Japan, the Ministers’ Roundtable consists of speech deliverance and discussion by the participating ministers on the theme. During his turn, YB Dato’ Sri Dr. Adham bin Baba, highlighted his views particularly on Planetary Health, Green Technology, Social Innovation and Start-up Ecosystem by leveraging STI to reinvigorate economic activities and address global challenges in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The participants look forward to the annual Ministers’ Roundtable next year as it is not only a platform to exchange views on progressing STI but also acts as a medium for further cooperation and partnerships in both bilateral and multilateral spheres.
