Building Coherence: Utilizing a Writing Prompt in Fostering a Reflective Paper

How can students’ reflection papers be described in terms of coherence?

The reflection paper submitted by the participants manifested issues in the coherent presentation of ideas and.

  • How did the writing prompt develop students’ skills in writing a coherent Reflection Paper?

Despite this, the consolidated perspectives of the participants still showed the content analysis of their reflective papers which depicted a disjointed presentation of ideas and different use of pronouns. The affirmed statements of the participants clearly explained the reason behind the challenges they encountered in composing their reflective paper in a collaborative manner.

A Challenging Set to Answer

One of the ways to increase the writing quality is through a writing prompt, the submitted paper of the participants reflected an improvement in writing skills as the presence of coherent devices became evident. Compared to the first submitted outputs of the participants where numerous lapses were documented, the documentation analysis now indicated selected cases where a Cohesive device should have been specifically used in addition, contrast, summary and result.

Operating Text Comprehension

Other than that, there was no error or oversight in terms of coherent presentation of ideas and use of pronouns.

The evaluated development of students' reflective paper composition with the use of the writing prompt as an intervention has shown effectiveness in enhancing students' writing skills. 47 ISSN 2651-7787 EACC Journal of Multidisciplinary Research The verbal expression of the students' experience of using the writing prompt to develop a coherent reflection paper has apparently reflected the development of their paper on the content analysis of their intervened reflection paper.

Efficacy of Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in the

Assessment of Axillary Lymph Nodes’ Status in the Early Stage of

Sanggalang

The ten retrospective studies addressed the sensitivity and specificity of ultrasound and MRI for determining the axillary lymph node status in breast cancer. This review also discovered that although ultrasound and MRI are comparable, both imaging modalities could not differentiate between pN1 and pN2-3. As a result, this analysis shows that ultrasound and MRI should be complementary rather than competitive for a more accurate evaluation of axillary lymph nodes, since the accuracy of a combined modality is higher than using them separately.

Status in the Early Stage of Breast Cancer

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans in assessing the status of axillary lymph nodes in patients with early stage breast cancer. Histopathological examination revealed axillary lymph node metastases in 188 cases (56%) and benign axillary lymph nodes in 148 cases (44%). 75 (64 percent) of the 118 patients with pre-NAC-positive metastatic lymph nodes on fine needle aspiration had positive lymph nodes at final surgical pathology, while 43 (36 percent) showed a transition to a negative axillary lymph node status.

Axillary lymph node metastases were detected in 188 cases (556%) on histological examination of axillary ultrasound, with benign axillary lymph nodes reported in 148 cases (44%). Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices on Antibiotics Use and Resistance in

54.7%) of the respondents have negative attitudes regarding preference in the use of antibiotics, antibiotic risk and resistance, and views on antibiotics prescribed by doctors. These data will help determine the effectiveness of current public education programs on antibiotic use and resistance. It will also provide researchers with more information for the development of future interventions to promote specific messages to rationalize antibiotic use and compensate for knowledge and attitude gaps in the fight against antibiotic resistance.

Knowledge, Attitudes, and Practices on Antibiotics Use and Resistance in the

CALABARZON

Table 5 shows the correlation of respondents' level of knowledge, attitude and practices with their demographic profile. Regarding the attitude towards the use of antibiotics and resistance, more than half (54.7%) of the population have a negative attitude. More than half (74%) of those surveyed in Indonesia believe that antibiotics can prevent the disease from getting worse.

Misuse of antimicrobial drugs is one of the main sources of antibiotic resistance (S. Agarwal, et al., 2015). Logistic regression analysis showed that the demographic profile of respondents was not indicative of knowledge, attitudes and practices. The researchers recommend the health policy makers of Region IV-A CALABARZON to further strengthen their programs regarding antibiotic use and resistance.

COVID-19

By using a descriptive quantitative research design, the researchers were able to collect significant data that defined the current status of the students. The study found that the respondents have a high level of knowledge, attitude and practice regarding the prevention of COVID-19, which may not only be the result of the government's aggressive promotion against COVID-19, but also because of their duty as future medical professionals. The researchers of this study recommend that future researchers use the data collected from this study to further broaden the knowledge regarding COVID-19.

In the third statement, 'The incidence of COVID-19 disease is increasing in the Philippines.', 217 or 90% of the respondents answered True, 15 or 6% answered False, and the other 8 or 3% answered I don't know. In the fifth statement, 'The disease is more dangerous in old individuals', 237 or 99% of the respondents answered true, and 3 or 1% answered I don't. In the sixth statement, 'The disease is more dangerous in people with weakened immune systems.', 40 or 100% of the respondents answered true.

In the ninth statement, "The disease can be transmitted directly through contact with infected surfaces," 222 or 93% of respondents answered true, 16 or 7%. 90.42% of respondents answered that over 50 years old is the age group in which COVID-19 is more dangerous. On the first statement about respondents' views on whether COVID-19 was a serious illness, 227 or 95% agreed, while the remaining 13 or 5% were neutral.

On the fifth statement about the respondents' opinion on how health education can help prevent. However, 48% of respondents incorrectly identified consumption of contaminated dairy and meat as a way to transmit COVID-19.

INFORMED CONSENT FORM & RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

Respondents' participation can help researchers learn more about knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward the prevention of COVID-19. I have been invited to participate in a research titled "Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice toward the Prevention of COVID-19 of 3rd and 4th Year Biomedical Science Students at Emilio Aguinaldo College-Cavite." Based on the statement below, answer the following based on your current attitude towards COVID-19.

My opinion is that the disease COVID-19 does not cause death in all cases. It is my opinion that the authorities should limit travel to and from the areas of the disease of COVID-19 to prevent infection. My opinion is that the authorities should be prepared to restrict access to religious places, shrines and mosques if the number of cases of COVID-19 increases.

It is my opinion that if the number of COVID-19 cases increases, the authorities should be ready to close and quarantine the city. Instructions: Which of the following practices do you perform to prevent contracting COVID-19 and how often do you perform them.

Physical Therapists’ Practices on Protecting Data Privacy and Security

PTs are bound by their ethical duty based on PT Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Also, the establishment of mutual trust and rapport results in a therapeutic alliance as a protection for both the PT and the patient. Based on the themes that emerged in the results, they highlight how data privacy and security practices impact PT practice outcomes in telerehabilitation.

It showed that the Data Privacy Act of 2012 serves as a protection for both healthcare professionals and patients, which can further promote the therapeutic alliance through collaboration. Finally, PTs inherently protect patient health information regardless of the constant advancement of technology.

Physical Therapists’ Practices on Protecting Data Privacy and Security of

Therefore, based on the data collected from the participants, PT's procedure for protecting data privacy and patient safety in telerehabilitation is in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. In accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012, PT takes into account technological security measures such as devices used to provide health information to telerehabilitation patients as mentioned by participants. Thus, another participant mentioned that privacy is the right of the PT and the patient.

Thus, the participants declared the application of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 in data management of the collected data of the patients. Accordingly, the provision of access to the health information of the patient to authorized professionals was supported by the Code of Ethics of the PPTA (2000) on Article IV, Art. According to the National Privacy Commission (2016), providing informed consent was essential to collect health information from the patients.

In addition, the retention of health information of the patients from the specified time frame is based on the informed consent provided by the PT. Accordingly, the participants shared that the retrieval of the health information only occurs if the patient attends PT sessions again.
