OUR LADY’S BADGE
Do you knowthat in the highschool and college departments two or ohree out of every ten students DO NOTcarry rosary beads? Weboast +hat the Blessed VirginMary is our Patroness, and yet only three-fourth- ex' the Ateneans carry her badge.
It isn’t costlyto own, cumbersome to carryaround, or unmanly to
•ave with you. It isn’t too late. Own a rosary - carry it always - ,-”D PRAY IT.

CADBE TIPS
We are told that one of the chief problems confronting the men in camps is how to spend their leisure time. This is sort of amusing.
Here we crave for a holiday. Be that as it may hereare a few suggestions on how to spend thos- wearisome nothing-to-to periods. (It’s a mili tary.secret).
You are Catholic soldiers. Why not pay a visit to the Camp Chaplain for a chat? You might mention that you are a catechist, a wri ter, a mass-server. The Camp Chaplain’s is a difficult job. Join hands with him. Put your Catholic faith, your Ateneo training into ef fective use.
Round up the boys, prepare entertainments, talk games, shows, books - talk God. Protect your comrades from the temptations and evils of camp life, while you train to protect the Phil ippines. Kill two birds with one stone.
Talk God with your comrades. Many of them have not heard the word God twice. Practice your Faith openly. Don’t be apologetic about it. Confessions on Saturdays. Mass and Commu nion on Sundays and holidays. Rosary inyour pocket always - AND PRAY IT. By doing so you will avoid temptations, give courage to the weak attract the ignorant. Youwill be doing a work worthy of a true Atenean - a true Catholic.
And youwill be killing a third bird: your unwanted leisure time!
V.HAT AREATENEANS?
A parish priest in one ofthe large cities of Mindanao writes of Ateneans inhis Parish:
’’THESE BOYS AREVERY EDIFYINGFOR OUR PEOPLE. THEY COMET?0 CHURCH CN SUNDAY WITH THEIR BIG MISSALS AND THEY UNASHAMEDLY KNEEL DOWN AND LAKE THEIRCONFESSION AND RECEIVE (COMMUNION). THEIR WHOLE ATTITUDE IS ONE OF TRUE AND CONVINCED PIETY. OUR MEN LOOKAND LEARN’’.
WHAT - NO POPSICLES?
When you signed up for the pamphlets, you did notmerely promise to buy them. You promised to buy them at the cost of some personal sac
rifice . So don’t wait until Papa and Mama come around and make THEM pay. Give up two popsicles, turn in the 10 centavos you save to Father Fox, and make that ACT OF SELF DENIAL your contribution to spreading the CatholicMessage. The money counts very little. It’s the sacri
fice that counts.
FR. FOX IS IN HIS (BOY SCOUT) OFFICE EVERY DAY FROM 11:30 to 12, FROM 4 to 5.
THE CHESTERTON EVIDENCE GUILD MOVIE, ’’STRIKEUP THE BAND”, WILL INAUGURATETHE ATENEO AUDITORIUM’S NEW MOVIE PROJECTORS NEXT WEDNESDAY.
DON’T MISS IT!
