BASIC ECG TRAINING COURSE

Program for Basic ECG and Arrhythmia Recognition Training Course includes comprehensive lectures in the morning and workshop in the afternoon by our qualified cardiology fellows and consultants culminated by a practical and/or written examination at the end of the day. This course can prepare the students in the Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training Course.

This course is open to all healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other professionals who are interested in ECG identification and who are working in the critical care areas, emergency and Telemetry departments.

Basic ECG course has no prerequisites. It is limited to 60 partici- pants. Each participant shall pay the fee of P2700 (for Non PHC Staff) P1000 for Government Employee and FREE of charge for PHC Staff. Each participant will be given a manual upon registra- tion, and it is included on the registration fee. Each PHC staff shall pay P500 for the manual.

To receive the course completion certificate, participants must attend all lessons included in the course. This training course has no expiry.

BASIC LIFE SUPPORT COURSE

T

he goal of the BLS for training Healthcare Providers’

Course is to train and retrain them to save victim’s lives in cardiac arrest, following the chain of survival including high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The American Heart Association designed the BLS for Healthcare Provid- ers (Training Course) to prepare them to know how to perform CPR in both in-and out-of-hospital settings. This course trains participants to promptly recognize cardiac arrest, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appro- priate ventilations, and provide early use of an automated external defibrillator AED), as member and part of a team.

The BLS course has no prerequisite and it is limited to 24 participants. Each participant shall pay the fee of P2000 (for non PHC staff), P950 (for Government employee) and P230.00 (for PHC staff) upon registration. As per AHA rule (one student, one manual policy) each participant is REQUIRED to have a printed manual or ebook before going to class. They can purchase either; 1) ebook(P703.00). or, 2) printed manual at P1,150.00 each.

The recommended 2-year interval represents the current administrative requirement.

ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT COURSE

T

he Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Training Course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or par- ticipate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.

ACLS is open to all currently active healthcare provider whose daily occupation or volunteer activities demand profi- ciency in the knowledge and skills of ACLS. Providers who take the ACLS Training Course must have a certification for BLS CPR skills using 2015 guidelines.

The ACLS course is limited to 24 participants. Each partici- pant shall pay the fee of P4000 (for non PHC staff), P1250 (for Government employee) and P270.00 (for PHC staff) upon registration. As per AHA rule (one student, one manual policy) each participant is REQUIRED to have a printed man- ual or ebook before going to class. They can purchase ei- ther; 1) ebook (P1,959.00), or 2) buy printed manual at P2,8750.00 each.

PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUP- PORT COURSE

n the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course, you will reinforce and enhance your skills in the treatment of pediatric arrest and periarrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated pediatric emergencies. These simulations are designed to reinforce the important concepts of a systemic ap- proach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treat- ment algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics.

The PALS Training Course is designed for healthcare providers who deliver advanced life support during the initial phase of a pediatric emergency, either in or out of the hospital.

Participants must prepare adequately to successfully complete the PALS Training Course. These course does not teach BLS skills, interpretation of rhythm strips, or basic PALS pharmacology.

Thus, before taking the course, participant must already certi- fied in BLS skills using the 2015 guidelines.

The recommended 2-year interval represents the current administrative requirement.
