Passenger cars, taxis and general jeepneys plying the intersection had contributed greatly to the congestion of the intersection. Traffic enforcement and security in the area is under the supervision of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), specifically the Traffic Management and Engineering Unit (TMEU, 1998). The average daily traffic volume (ADT) passing by the road sections in the intersection is 97,906.

Show the direction of the predominant traffic flow at the different road sections of the intersection. The other road sections of the intersection also become congested, especially the Aquino Avenue due to perhaps similar reasons. The intersection has also become a busy one, perhaps considering the rapid growth and development in the surrounding area in recent years.

Flooding of the area due to the accumulation of water even during short rainfalls hinders the speed of vehicles driving in this part of the intersection. AVERAGE NUMBER OF VEHICLES, CLASSIFIED BY TYPE, PASSING THE ROAD SECTION OF THE INTERSECTION.

Controller

A double pole relay is driven from a 12 volt DC supply with an 8 amp coil. The ⅟2 watt resistor is set as protection for the transistor if it is reduced to a minimum. Two LEDs are placed as indicators (red light) for the operation of the relay switch and (green light) for the presence of supply voltage in the circuit.

Two of the three probes were connected to each base of two primary transistors on the individual Darlington circuit. The rest is connected to ground or the emitter of the secondary transistors. These probes are placed at different levels: the common one is placed at the bottom, probe 2 is placed in the middle and probe 1 is placed at the top of the tank.

Probe 1 is connected directly to the base of the primary transistor of the first Darlington, where the collector is connected to the normally open relay switch. The characteristics of a relay switch help a transistor to operate while another transistor is off. When the water level reaches probe 2, the second Darlington will "cut off", but the first Darlington still trips the relay switch.

When probe 1 connects with two other probes through water, the first Darlington will be "cut off". At the time the water lowers, the relay is still in the "off state" until it passes probe 2 (see logic operation).

Indicator

The researchers concluded that the AUTOMATIC WATER LEVEL CONTROLLER WITH INDICATOR could control the on-off operation of the water pump and thereby control the level of water entering the tank. The use of an AUTOMATIC WATER LEVEL REGULATOR WITH INDICATOR is recommended for households and institutions with a water tank and a constant source of water, driven by the electric motor pump. In addition, the use of said device varies depending on the power supply required by the water pump.

Thus, the researchers suggest that a special relay should be used for a certain motor capacity. Further improvements and studies of the device are needed to ensure greater efficiency.

A STUDY OF MALIAO CREEK IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAVIA ILOILO

Specific Objectives

To identify all owners of lots adjacent to the stream bank so that we can establish a system of responsibility in the protection and maintenance of the channel bank. Changes in variables controlling flow length for the same flow conditions over a period of time. Planting trees and creating a healthy plant cover within 10 m on both sides of the bank.

Abstract: Today's civil engineering graduates from Philippine engineering schools are hardly recognized as such in most countries of the world. Many of the technical employers want candidates who have not only technical skills but also interpersonal and creative skills. The one year corresponds to ten months of on-the-job training, which will strengthen the students' technological skills.

Interpersonal, teamwork and managerial skills which are indispensable tools in the practice of the engineering profession. The sequence of delivery of technical courses is the same for both programs, but not for no. In the last semester of the fifth year, those in the six-year degree program will have their on-the-job training, while those in the five-year program will take non-technical courses.

Due to the wider industry-academia partnership in teaching, a collaborative research activity can be developed. Statistics show that about 20% of new entrants complete the five-year course in five years and about 10% complete it in more than five years. Currently, only about 15% of incoming freshmen qualify for the six-year degree program.

Additionally, with the support of government, industry, alumni, parents and students, the program will thrive with graduates who will be globally competitive and successful.

DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE OF A PAPER AIRPLANE

Aerobatics - is defined as the art of precision flying where preset patterns (called maneuvers) are drawn in the air by the aircraft to form a sequence or schedule. They also discuss certain factors, such as the weather, that can affect the condition of the paper plane during the competition and brainstorm ideas on how to deal with it. After collecting the data, the team decided to test the paper airplane models at the sports complex in Iloilo.

They selected the three best paper airplanes from the test to compete in three categories. Knowing that the propeller is actually designed to spin quickly, the wings of the aircraft are shaped like this. Design teams that won the preliminary competition will represent their section in the category they won.

Only the teams that won in the preliminary competition were allowed to join the final. The members of the team that won in the longest flight and aerobatics category were very happy because they can use the amount to finance their upcoming proposal. What was used to determine the winner was the visual analysis of the number of turns each aircraft made.

Therefore, the quality of the finished design depends on the quality of the planning and procedure. We found out what was needed and what we did was important in the presentation process. The last key feature we learned was understanding what engineering in general is all about when executing the design project.

This is essentially what we did when we undertook a paper design competition that was part of the first year design project.

CONTINUING ENGINEERING EDUCATION IN THE PHILIPPINES

The undersigned has also obtained several references from several authors of papers on various innovative methods. The team then evaluated all references and agreed to cover the training program. The title was based on the title of the training program used at West Point for new teachers.

The results were then compared with the results of the first seminar workshop at CPU. This data was needed for comparison with the evaluation of the teacher's performance at the end of the year. The second problem we encountered was the lack of interest among the participants at the end of the seminar to try out the innovative methods from the lecture.

The teacher was also asked to rate himself based on subject coverage using another instrument prepared for this purpose. To maximize the impact of the training program it was decided that all participants in the workshop would be new teachers. In areas where team members' performance was not satisfactory, improvements will be made.

A team member will monitor the performance of the 4-5 participants for a period of two and a half months. Another evaluation of the teachers' performance will be carried out before the end of the semester. It was the team's belief that the T4 program, together with its mentoring by the mentor, could really help new teachers improve their teaching process.

The continuing engineering education program, if successful, will solve some of the problems presented in the first part of this paper.

ON MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES C elia palomar S umagaysay

The intelligence consists of languages that all people speak and are partly influenced by the culture into which one is born. Verbal - Linguistic intelligence consists of the ability to think in words and use language to express and appreciate complex meanings. Musical intelligence is evident in individuals who are sensitive to pitch, melody, rhythm, and tone.

Intrapersonal Intelligence refers to the ability to construct an accurate perception of oneself and to use such knowledge in planning and directing one's life. However, these seven intelligences provide a much more accurate picture of human abilities than previous unitary theories have. In contrast to the small range of abilities that many standard IQ tests measure; Gardner's theory offers an expanded picture of what it means to be human.

Another aspect of the multiple intelligences is that they can be conceptualized in three broad categories. On the other hand, the "object-free" intelligences, consisting of verbal-linguistic and musical, are not shaped by the physical world, but depend on language and musical systems. The third category consists of the "person-related" intelligences with intrapersonal intelligences reflecting a powerful set of mod-bal.

Not all people will become great artists, musicians or writers, but every human life will be enriched by developing many kinds of intelligence as much as possible, when individuals are given the opportunity to learn through their strong, unexpected and positive cognitive, emotional, social and even physically. We need to help them appreciate the creative dynamics between personal fulfillment and social responsibility. We must break down the walls of ignorance, myth and complacency and instead build bridges of new knowledge and new methodologies, new ways of thinking, doing and being.

Let this be our task today, our project, our dream and our lasting legacy to our students.
