kayan pressing for the investiga
tion of the murder of Balintag Sa- tur (also known as Satur Dala- gan), 30, who was shot in a near
by barriq in Bauko last August.
Deputy Governor Lubos ordered further inquiry into this unsolv
ed murder case of three months after the widow and an uncle of the deceased, Adelian Pinkian, came to him with the report that nothing had been done about it.
The original report of Mayor Guanso stated that Satur was shot in the sitio of Lubao, barrio Le- seb, within the municipal district of nearby Bauko, Bontoc subpro
vince while on a search party looking for a carabao lost by one Pablo Pelpel, of Mankayan. A companion of Satur, according to the mayor’s report, said that Sa
tur was shot by a man with a pistol when the search party was in that sitio trying to determine the direction of the missing cara
bao’s footprints. Efforts to lo
cate the murderer failed despite the burning of the shrubbery in the hillside where the shooting occurred. '
Because of the failure to get the killer, authorities here are explor
ing the possibility that he might be among the members of the search party. No complaint, how
ever, has as yet been filed at the office of the provincial fiscal.
