The SOUTHEASTERN PHILIPPINES JOURNAL OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT invites articles whose topics respond to the needs of Mindanao and ASEAN region’s socio-economic development, covering multi-fold themes such as climate change mitigation, energy security, sustainable agriculture, political and economic security in the ASEAN, innovations impacting markets, industries, and institutions, and socio-cultural knowledge and practices be it on education, health, governance, or the preservation of language, history, culture, and environment.
Reviews or literature syntheses; program, project or study reports; and book reviews may also be submitted.
Submitted article manuscripts are first screened by the editorial staff for completeness and to determine if they meet the general criteria or standard set by the journal. An author’s cognizance of these criteria would help him/ her assess the draft meant for submission:
• The work is a product of original research (for instance the research data, analyses, results and conclusions must not have been published or submitted elsewhere or under consideration)
• It holds discernible importance to the context of Mindanao and ASEAN region’s development needs
• The work shows novel or striking findings whose immediate or far-reaching implications can’t be disregarded and hence should be made public
• The findings and conclusions derived provoke prospective interest among readers of various disciplines
Parts of the article include the following: title, abstract (150-250 words), introduction, theoretical or analytical frame or assumptions, materials and methods, results and discussion, summary or conclusions and recommendations, and references (using APA style). Submit original, high-resolution (300 dpi or above) copies of images, graphics and other like materials.
Articles and Reports typically contain 3,000-5,000 words (excluding display items such as tables, figures, and images), double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font.
Indicate authorship chronologically starting with lead or senior author, together with position or designation, institutional affiliation and email address.
