The Commission on Higher Education in coordination with the Embassy of Canada in the Philippines and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig will be conducting a conference on
"Building a Skilled Workforce: Access, Equity and Inclusiveness through Local Community Colleges" at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig, Alcalde Jose St., Kapasigan, Pasig City on October 11-12, 2018.
The conference aims to:
1) Increase awareness of Canada's community college model/system;
2) Highlight the industry-academe (i.e. colleges and institutes) collaboration in Canada;
3) Inform Philippine institutions of role of Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) and capabilities of its members; and
4) Highlight how the community college model contributes to the development of a skilled workforce, education of indigenous people, among others.
Expected participants are academic personnel i.e. Vice President for Academic Affairs or head of a research study of LUCs and SUCs. Interested participants are requested to register online through https://bit.ly/2MniTsX. Please complete the registration on or before October 5, 2018.
