ABSTRACT
The online registration and enrollment system for Nueva Vizcaya State University was developed using WordPress, PHP and MySQL. Prior to this project, NVSU uses computerized enrollment system but still requires forms to be filled out and submitted to the registrar. As the student population of NVSU grows over time, the volume of student registration and manual process of recording, retrieving and updating of each record is getting to be tremendously tedious. During peak transaction times for each new semester, registration lines are getting longer as well as students’ waiting and processing time. It takes a day to finish registration.
The online student registration and enrollment system of NVSU eliminated most of the manual intervention and increased the speed of whole process. This system allowed students to fill the form online. It has inbuilt validation system in validate the entered data.
One major advantage of using online system is it provides a convenient way of doing things at anytime and anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.
