THE HOLY GOSPEL (Mt. 8:5-11)
The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew,
When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.” He said to him, “I will come and cure him.” The centurion said in reply, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed. For I too am a man subject to authority, with soldiers subject to me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come here,’ and he comes;
and to my slave, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him,
“Amen, I say to you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith. I say to you, many will come from the east and the west, and will recline with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the banquet in the Kingdom of heaven.”

2. We are calling for support to beef up the project of the OVCM called “Pamaskong Handog ng Lasalyano” for the outsourced personnel and some partners of our school. Let us take this most opportune time to share our blessings with others. Christmas baskets with specified Noche Buena items may now be donated thru the Office of the Asst.
Principals. APs may give some guidelines for the students and advisers. Thank you.
3. We would like to remind all classes of the general guidelines we should follow in planning for the class Christmas party. Parties need to be simple and not lavish. Do not spend too much and avoid food wastage by providing enough quantity for the class. Observe the regulated amount for the exchange gift. Remember that it is not the amount we will spend that will make the celebration happy but rather the true spirit of Christmas that began in the manger where Jesus, our Savior, was born.

WHY DO CATHOLICS HAVE TO ATTEND SUNDAY MASS?
When we skip Mass on Sunday, we are violating our covenant with God. We are saying to God, 'I don't need to be united to you. I don't need to worship you.' It may seem innocent, but we are actually declining His marriage proposal. We are not showing up for our own wedding.
