x In accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (R.A) 7722, otherwise known as the “Higher Education Act of 1994”, this Office hereby endorsesthe conductofthe Regional Training-Workshop on CHED Memorandum Order No. 2, s. 2019,” Integration of Indigenous Peoples' (IP) Studies/Education into the Relevant Higher Education Curricula”, organized by the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST)- Center for Indigenous Peoples Education (CIPE) and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Nueva Ecija Provincial Office(NEPO). Thiswill be held on August 1-3, 2019 atRicoFajardoHall, NEUSTSumacabCampus, SumacabEste, Cabanatuan City.
Theobjectiveofthetraining-workshopisto build thecapacityof IPeducatorson thefollowing:
1. Content, process andimplementation mechanismsofCMO No. 2, s. 2019;
2. Integration of IP studies/education on subjects such as History, Social Science, Political Science, Community Development,etc.;
3. Preparation ofSyllabi;
4. Collating ofreference materials; and
5. Submission of compliance documents with reference to the implementation of CMO No. 2, s. 2019
Target participants are presidents/heads/school administrators, deans, curriculum developers and faculty members ofall public and private higher education institutions in RegionIII.
