She therefore encouraged the participants to discuss the indicators and the road map for monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the RES&POA-2030, and declared the workshop open. She reiterated the proposal made by the 53CM for SEAFDEC to develop and disseminate the key indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of RES&POA-2030. Therefore, this workshop was organized to discuss the draft indicators, template and timeline of the road map to support the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the RES&POA-2030.
In response, the workshop clarified that the task of the national focal points for the development of RES&POA-2030 was assigned a specific task. ROADMAP TO SUPPORT MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF RES&POA-2030 IMPLEMENTATION. Taking into account the recommendations of the workshop, the template for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of RES&POA-2030 was revised, as it appears in Annex 5.
The workshop took note of the timeline of the road map to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the RES&POA-2030 as presented by the SEAFDEC secretariat which appears as Annexure 6.

During the 53rd meeting of the SEAFDEC Council last year, the Council supported the proposal to carry out the Roadmap for Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of RES&POA-2030. Therefore, SEAFDEC organizes this workshop to discuss key indicators and detailed roadmap for monitoring and evaluation including baseline data and information, objectives, reporting and timeline for monitoring and evaluation of RES&POA-2030 implementation. Template for the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of RES&POA-2030
The AMSs should provide additional information (e.g. means of verification) for each indicator to ensure that the same set of fundamentals and criteria are maintained during the different time frames (i.e. in 2021 for the baseline, in 2025 for the mid-term review, and in 2029 for the final evaluation) of the monitoring and evaluation of the POA-2030.
