SUBJECT: Reconstitution of the NAMRIA Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS)

In the interest of the service and the agency's efforts to strengthen and accelerate gender mainstreaming of our Agency, for the promotion of gender equality pursuant to the Magna Carta of Women (MCW), the NAMRIA GFPS is hereby recomposed as follows:

The GFPS shall ensure and sustain the NAMR1A's support to gender equality and empowerment and take a lead role in direction setting, advocacy, planning and budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, and mainstreaming of the gender and development (GAD) perspective in the agency. It shall perform the functions specified in the annex, pursuant to the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Memorandum Circular 2011-01.

The Focal Person shall oversee the preparation and implementation of the GAD Plan and Budget (GPB); mobilize the GFPS

Committees; and represent NAMRIA in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources GFPS and interagency meetings.

The GFPS Committees and Survey Vessel Representatives shall facilitate the implementation of GAD programs, activities, and projects (PAPs). The GFPS Secretariat shall perform secretarial and administrative duties.

The tasks and function of the members shall form part of their key result areas and shall be given due consideration during performance evaluation. Funds shall be allocated for PAPs to support the organization, management and operations of the GFPS, charged to NAMRIA's GAD budget.

This order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force unless revoked/rescinded in writing. All other issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
