Socio faculty and students joins mangrove planting
Sociology faculty and students join hands with other CASS departments during the mangrove -planting activity at Bayug, Iligan City on July 24, 2011. Local residents and volunteers manifest the rebirth of their concern for the environment by cleaning and planting mangrove propagules as part of Institute extension project.
The mangrove-planting is part of the Institute’s continuing mangrove reforestation effort dubbed as “Bayug Mangrove Rehabilitation and Reforestation Project”. The move speaks of the
Institute’s commitment in protecting and conserving our environment. Local officials and residents were also present during the activity in ensuring that environmental programs are sustained in the area.
