Master in Information Systems
ABSTRACT
A defined and systematic process leads to efficiency. eParking software was developed for parking spaces in developing cities of Negros and Iloilo. Its first pilot client is Southwind Enterprises. This is being used by Southwind to manage assignment of vehicles to parking slots, monitoring the in and out of the motorist in parking vicinity, report generation of time in and out of vehicles and total number of vehicles parked in a certain time frame and their total collections.
Parking software is a new concept in remote cities in Negros and Iloilo. This tends motorist to resist in the implemented parking process of Southwind. In the span of two (2) weeks using the eParking application, slight improvements were seen in the organization of parking vehicle and its assignment to parking slots. Using parking software help improve ad-hoc parking process (e.g., assigning of the vehicle to slot and its time in and out data).
