Abstract

The objectives of the research entitled [Using Buddhist Leadership of Head of Department Business Administration Faculty Private Universities in Bangkok\ were to study

1. Buddhist Leadership concept of [Sappurisa - dhamma ,the seven qualities of good genuine person, one who has the qualities of a complete human being\ and [being endowed with the ten regal qualities : to have the ten qualities of a righteous roles ruler or king (Raja - dhamma) 2. the use of Buddhist Leadership 3. opinion whether Buddhist Leadership effects achievement

4. opinion what level Buddhist Leadership of both concepts effects achievement and 5. the relationship of factors and the use of Buddhist Leadership. The samples were 66 Heads of Departments of Business Administration Faculty of 12 private universities in Bangkok who are Buddhist. The questionnaire was used for collecting data. The results were found that 1. the Heads of Departments Business Administration Faculty private universities in Bangkok used the Buddhist Leadership concept in their work at a high level. Most of them thought that Buddhist principles in [Sappurisa - dhamma : the seven qualities of a good genuine person one who has the qualities of a complete human being\ mostly effected their achievement. 2. [Dhammannuta : knowing principles, knowing causes\ was the most important Buddhist Leadership concept that effected their work performance and [Ajjava : working honestly\ in [being endowed with the ten regal qualities\ was the least important out of 17 principles. 3. The samples who were different in sex, education level, age and the frequency of reading a Buddhist principle book applied for their work did not have differences in the use of Buddhist Leadership concept for their work. It is possible that all factors do not effect their use of Buddhist Leadership concept for their work. It may depend on their comprehension of the Buddhist Leadership concept and intention to follow the Buddhist principles.
