I cannot finish without thanking U Myo Myint, Director General, Department of Development Affairs, Ministry for Progress of Border Area and National Races and Development Affairs , who gave me a favour by helping me to obtain both households and firms surveys from Mawlamyine, Myanmar. I also would like to thank the officials who helped me in Mon State and Mawlamyine Township Development Committee during my surveys. The data and survey implementation would not be complete without their willing assistance. Furthermore , I offer my regards to Daw Thynn Thynn Myint (Lecturer , Department of Management Studies , Yangon Institute of Economics, Myanmar ) who is taking care of my mother while I am studying here.
