ABSTRACT
Research Title : The effects of using problem-based learning and cooperative learning instructional model: International College, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University perspective

The main purpose of this Quasi-Experimental research is to study the effects of using problem-based learning and cooperative learning instructional model. The pretest and posttest design were employed in this study. The research was conducted in three subjects offered in Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degree program at International College, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The sample consisted of 73 students of International College, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The duration of the research conducted was from December 2009 until September 2010.
Research findings:
The conclusion of research findings were:
1) Based on statistic t-test, students in the classes using problem-based learning and cooperative learning instructional model were shown to have performed significantly better on the posttest than those classes using whole-classes instruction at
= .05;2) The students in the classes using problem-based learning and cooperative learning instructional model were shown to have English competency better than those classes using whole-classes instruction;
and
3) Based on analysis of the attitude survey showed that students in the sample had positive attitude to problem-based learning and cooperative learning instructional model.
