The research "The Development of Teaching Process, 'Future Search Conference', in Thai Teaching Using Child - Centered Learning : A Case Study on Classic Literature For the Bachelors' Degree Students of Beijing Foreign Language University?? d m s to develop the process of Future Search Conference Teaching Process for the activity management in teaching and learning Thai using child - centered approach. It also a h to study the learning achievement on the Classical ~ i t c r a h u e Course. The students of the experiment groups were taught by the F.S.C Teaching Process.

The experiment group me the 14 fourth-year Thai Major students of the Asia-Afiica Faculty, Beijing Foreign Language University, academic year 2000.

The instrument used are the -course outline on the Classical Literature course, the achievement test, the questionnaires on the attitude towards the teaching process and the evaluation f mon the learning activities using child-centered approach.

The data collection was done by the researcher teaching the experiment group according to the course outline for one semester. Then the learning achievement test was used at the end of the course dong with the questionnaires on the attitude towards the teaching process. Then the evaluation forms on the learning activities using child-centered were sent to 14 experts to consider. All the &a were analyze by percentage to frnd the level of the learning achievement of the experiment group. The mean

and the percentage are also used to analyze the questionnaires and the evaluation forms on the learning activities using child-centered approach.

The f d i is that the F.S.C teaching process which consists of the nine steps : 1. The Expectation, 2. The Time line, 3. The Learners' misery, 4. The Problem Tree, 5. The Mimicry-show, 6. The Creative Visions, 7. The Learning Plans, 8. The Committed Folios and 9. The Final Assessment, create the development of the learning process of the experiment group. It shows the high level of the learning achievement at 78.57 percent of all the students and 21.43 percent are at the fair level.
