Scanning is about finding the answers, and you find the answers by looking for specific information. This is different from skimming where you just look for the main ideas.
e.g. The library is open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
What time does the library open?
What time does it close?

Good news for everyone who likes delicious food! Located in Downtown, Tasty Turkey is the newest restaurant in the hippest part of town.
Tasty Turkey serves delicious lunches and dinners from Tuesday to Sunday.
However, word travels fast, and the restaurant is already VERY popular. So if you want to eat here, you need to call ahead to make a reservation.
Everything on the menu is good.
My favourite dish is the roast turkey.
However, the most famous dish is the Turkey Curry – really good if you like spicy food!
The decoration is nice and the staff
are friendly. But there are a few problems – it’s not close to any public
