Objective:
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to understand the basic and scientific Principals of pharmacology and pharmacological actions, mechanisms, adverse effect and contraindication of drugs.

Theoretical
Topics include pharmacokinetic of drugs, drug receptor interaction, Principal of drug action, factors affecting drug action, studies of autonomic drugs, CNS drugs, cardiovascular drugs, autacoids, local anesthetics, general anesthetics, anti‐
inflammatory drugs, anti‐infective agents, gastrointestinal drugs and anticancer agent.
Practical
Handling the experimental animals. Demonstration of the effect of certain known drugs on different organs as heart, stomach, intestine, respiratory tract, to predict their mechanism of action
