It is nice meeting you at School of Electrical Engineering of USM. Based on my experience during Hajj, I want to propose the following system to reduce delays at check-posts. If you think that the system may be helpful for Pilgrims, I request you forwarding the proposal to proper authority.
The system may reduce significant amount of time of processing "after arrival", e.g., bringing the passports from bus to check-post (that includes head-count), assigning that to an officer, reading those passports' bar-cord, possibly entering some data, printing those info and then again deliver those passports to Bus. This information can help on-demand tracking of any pilgrim (in case of missing/ offense) in city-level.
