Brief Description of Undergraduate Courses Taught: (Course Title – Code: Description)

1- Design journalist and directing - MEDIA 403N- Level VII Course Description:

The students practice the process of directing the page, and is known as the schools of directing and its rules and rules, between the artistic and political concept of the output of the press and the students' knowledge of printing, and explains how to deal with the maket and the installation of pages, and pages internal and specialized, first and last and sorting and the elements of the fixed and changing typographic.

2- New media and multimedia Course Description:

Demonstrates the concept of new media and the multimedia concept and explains the functions of new media and multimedia uses in new media. It also explains the sources of hidden information in media and cognitive methods in the design and encoding of multimedia content and explains the obstacles to using multimedia media

3- Media and Globalization Course Description:

The role of the Internet and space media in contemporary life and the role of multinational corporations in the new world order

4- Communication theories Course Description:

The course aims at introducing students to the scientific theory, highlighting the concept of communication models, linking critical theories, clarifying the studies of contact list, and showing the difference between linear models and circular models

5- Information and communication in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Course Description: This course deals with the history and development of the means of communication in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Radio, TV stations, print media and Saudi Press Agency. It also clarifies the organizational framework of the Saudi media and presents the media issues in Saudi Arabia

6- Principles of Communication MEDIA 201N - The third level Course Description:

The aim of this course is to present an information card on the media and communication media, its methods, theories, influences and daily interactions in society. It also provides a definition of Islamic media and its characteristics, as well as an overview of the historical development of communication from its inception to the era of social networks

7- Introduction to Media Course Description:

The student defines the concept of communication, its elements and levels, the difference between media and communication, and the role and importance of the communicator

Define communication arts, explain the characteristics of mass communication, analyze and critique communication models and systems

8- The art of photojournalism

The student learns the principles of the art of photography and shows the role of

photography in the press and the types of press photos and takes the image out of the computer and learn the latest techniques in the field of digital photography through exercises in photography

9- Media laws and ethics

Course Description

- The student knows freedom of expression, similarities and differences between the laws of publications and moral codes of ethics

The quality and nature of censorship of the media is known as models of electronic press and publishing legislation and the audio and visual media legislation in the Arab world, as well as models of electronic press and publishing legislation and the audiovisual media legislation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

- The student is looking for copyrights and intellectual property protection. He understands the laws related to information in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - The student understands the concept of the ethics of media science and media codes of honor and distinguishes the difference between media codes of honor and the laws of print and publishing. He explains the role of laws and charters of honor in the organization of professional media work.

Course Description:

The course aims to train students to write all the journalistic forms they have studied, to consolidate and develop students' concepts, theories and techniques, and to train students to produce paper and electronic newspapers

The course aims to define the concept of electronic journalism and its stages of development by linking it with paper journalism
