Introduction
The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences is one of the first founded colleges in Jouf University and one of the tributaries of science and knowledge. Graduates from the college are
professional health specialists who are qualified to participate in building and rejuvenating the homeland in the field of health.
The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University offers a four-year full-time program followed by one-year internship leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. The college is currently offering three academic programs:
- Clinical laboratory sciences
- Physical therapy & health rehabilitation - Nursing
The College is committed to the development and implementation of new health programs in order to achieve many of the University's goals in terms of contributing to human development and adopting academic programs that are consistent with the highest international standards and with accordance to the Saudi Arabia's vision for 2030.
Brief History of College
The College of Applied Medical Sciences, Jouf University, was founded following the approval granted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Higher Education, no. (7716/ mb), on the 7th of Jumada II 1426 AH upon the approval issued

in the 36th session of the Council, on 26/2/1426 AH, to transform the Department of Medical Laboratories Sciences, AlJouf College, into a College of Applied Medical Sciences.
The actual studying in the College began with the second semester of the academic year 1426- 1427 AH, based on a methodology developed in advance to spread the message of the college and to have its own vision through which it will achieve its goals of scientific pursuit as well as contributing to the local community.

2. Department: Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation Introduction
Through its distinction program, the Department of Physical Therapy and Health
Rehabilitation at Jouf university, aims at providing all the necessary academic and clinical skills for the preparation of qualified physical therapists that empower them to play an active role in health care in Saudi Arabia. The program cover theoretical and applied clinical aspects through spectrum of courses that include Applied Physics, Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Biomechanics and kinesiology, Electrophysiology, Pharmacology, Rehabilitation Psychology, Neuromuscular rehabilitation, Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Scientific research and Ethics of the profession.

transform the Department of Medical Laboratories Sciences, Jouf College, into a College of Applied Medical Sciences. The preparation for admitting students into the bachelor program in physical therapy started right after the approval of the department and the actual student enrollment in the bachelor program began with the first semester of the academic year 1430- 1431 AH. The bachelor program in physical therapy and health rehabilitation is the 3rd
program offered in the College of Applied Medical Sciences and the first in the northern region of Saudi Arabia.

The intern students will rotate, under supervision, through specialized clinical areas within the respective department in the hospital.
The intern students are then awarded the Bachelor of Science degree after successful completion all clinical rotations, competencies and objectives of the one-year internship program.

Extent of Correlation between the Program & the University Vision

Justifications for Program Creation (Amendment)
- Lack of details in the current program plan (Graduate attributes, learning outcomes, , etc.)
- Changes in the preparatory year program and subsequent modifications in the colleges and program plans.
- Comparison and induction of the current plan program with outstanding national and international programs is missing.
