RELEVANCE TO LABORATORIES AND INSTRUMENTS

1. Consultant for training on advanced laboratory instruments and techniques in Democratic Republic of Yemen (WHO consultant) and Sultanate of Oman.

2. Organizing training programmes in instrumental analysis Egyptian & Arab food

control Authorities.

3. Planing and implementing programmes to upgrade the Central Food and Environmental Control Laboratories of the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman as part of the development of food control system in Oman.

4. Director of the Central Food and Environmental Control Laboratories of the Ministry of Health Sultanate of Oman (1991-1997). The laboratories are highly equipped with HPLC, GC, Atomic absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS), UV- Visible and fluorescence Spectroscopy, Automatic kjeldahl, Automatic Soxhlet, automatic fibertec, Autochemistry station for water analysis .etc. The laboratories were responsible for analysis and control of imported and locally produced foods and drinking water to ensure their safety for human consumption and its comply to the Omanian and Gulf standards.

5. Supervise The Central Laboratory of the HIPH, Alexandria University, for Environmental and Food Analysis. The laboratory is equipped with HPLC, GC, GC-MS, Atomic absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS), electrophoresis, UV- Visible and fluorescence Spectroscopy.

RELEVANCE TO FOOD INDUSTRIES

 Provide consultations to several food industries and many fast food chains in implementation of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control points ( HACCP).

 Help in assessment of the quality and fitness of the products of several food companies through the central food control laboratory of the high institute of public health.
