Laboratory inspections are a vital component of a successful laboratory safety program to ensure a safe and healthy environment to teach, learn, and conduct research.
All laboratories, prep rooms, chemical storage areas in UoS will be inspected during the upcoming months using “LabCliQ
Each report that is generated using this software will be automatically sent via email to the lab supervisor , Department Chair and the Central Labs Director.
The reports will include compliance issues and recommend a course of actions that must be taken to achieve compliance and avoid accidents/injuries and property damage.
Follow-up inspections will be conducted By Central Labs Safety Coordinator, as needed.
If there are numerous compliance issues with the laboratory, the report will also be sent to the Department Chairperson and to the Dean’s Office.
LabCliQ is an online, cloud-based tool that you can access from any device with a browser – desktop, laptop and tablet.

Corrective actions are assigned to a specific group: Lab Staff, or Central Labs Directorate.
Inspector assigns an individual to a group before starting an inspection.
After inspection is complete, auto-email notifies individuals responsible for corrective actions.
Responsible individuals can manage or reassign specific corrective actions

Management – Department Chairpersons will receive complete inspection reports for their labs
Rosters – EHS Inspector will build rosters or designee lists for any corrective actions that stem from specific inspections.

Maintenance Eng. to fix safety showers or coordinating with physical plan department for any maintenance issues
