This course will focus on basic concepts in human nutrition to maintain health and prevent disease. This course is designed to provide an overview of food structure and its chemical and physical properties. This course will focus on planning, implementing and evaluating nutrition programs in local, national and international communities.
During this course, students will examine the functions and essential services of public health nutrition. This course will focus on the influence of nutrition on growth, development and behavior of children with special health care needs (low birth weight, metabolic disorders, etc.). This course covers the basics of food hygiene practices and the environmental contaminants that can be transmitted through food and water.
This course offers students the opportunity for planning, nutritional treatment and follow-up of patients with different cases. In this course, students will learn how to develop leadership qualities to achieve their esteemed vision in the field of dietetics. This course will also emphasize the role of nutritionists and dietitians and prepare students for job seeking.
The main focus of this course will be the role of nutrition in sport and fitness.

A university student has the right to maintain and preserve total confidentiality and privacy of the information relating to him/her. A university student has the right to freedom of expression and discussion of the educational issues that are important to him/her. A university student has the right to require faculty members to commit to the hours and dates of lectures, office hours and breaks and rest time between lectures.
A university student has the right to access the study timetable before the start of classes for the completion of the registration of the courses available in the system. A university student has the right to access the study curriculum plan before the start of the study. A university student has the right to ensure the confidentiality of the complaint filed against his/her professor.
A university student has the right to be informed sufficiently in advance of the dates of the finals of the warnings and denial of participation in the finals and the causes thereof. The exam questions must be derived from the study program and its content, with due attention being paid to a balanced and logical distribution of the marks within this framework. The student is expected to respect the dignity and safety of the university family and staff.
The student must respect the right of university family members to freedom of expression. Students who miss 25% of the course will not be able to take the final exam and 15%. To remain a professional, you must constantly assess yourself, strive to improve your skills, and stay abreast of developments in the clinical nutrition sciences.
All procedures are set out in University regulations, which include grievance and appeal procedures (University Student Disciplinary Regulations) available to students through the Deanship of Students Affairs (DSA). Furthermore, the students' academic rights are explained in the IAU Student Code of Ethics and Charter in a precise and well-defined way, where point number seven of the document dealt with the submission of complaints to the competent bodies in case of violation of her rights as stipulated in the student's charter. The ethics and charter explain the academic and non-academic rights and responsibilities of students.
If the discipline issue is not resolved at the program level, then it is escalated to the university level where there is an independent student disciplinary regulations committee to address the issue (University Student Disciplinary Regulations). If the issue is not resolved at the academic advisor level, or if the academic advisor was part of the dispute, students have the right to report the issue to the Chair who will address the issue and resolve student concerns with the utmost confidentiality.

- The student passes the blood test from the university hospital in Al Khobar

- The student must study at least 50% of the graduation requirements at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University

- Students with absence rate not exceeding 15% are allowed to sit for final

The percentage of enrollment in the health department is 88.69% for male students, and 95.32% for female students. The student must have sufficient time to travel and arrive on campus at least 20 minutes before the start of the exam. If a student arrives early, he/she must avoid lingering in front of entrances and corridors, as this will disturb other users of the building.
Students will be allowed into the exam halls 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of their exam. After 5 minutes of the scheduled start of their exam, students present in the hallway (reviewed or not) will be denied entry to the exam. In the event of an emergency that prevents the student from arriving on campus on time, such as in the event of an unexpected traffic accident, traffic jam, or car malfunction, the proctor will only allow the student to enter the exam if the student is no more than 30 minutes late. .
If under any circumstances the student is more than 30 minutes late, he/she will be denied admission to the exam and will be referred to the VDAA for further action. If the student is prevented from participating in the final exam in any of the courses due to a forced excuse, the University Council may in extreme cases accept his excuse and allow him to take an alternative exam for a period not exceeding the end of next semester. To gain access to the exam room, students must present their university ID to the exam invigilator.
Students may apply for deferment for two consecutive semesters or three non-consecutive semesters (Application is available until the end of the second week of the semester. The student may apply for an apology at least five weeks before the beginning of the end-of-semester exams .A Students may withdraw from one or more courses in a semester according to the executive rules approved by the University Council.
Presented with a VDAA-approved excuse; the student can take the final exam. If the student fails some courses in the semester, these courses must be studied again by enrolling in some additional courses from the next level, but not less than the number of study units recorded after the following controls: Where the student for 12 study units. There must be no conflicts in the schedule of the courses in which they will be registered.
