A 6 credit-‐hour course that extends over a 6-‐week period and is offered to the 4th-‐year medical students for 4 rotations per year.

This is an introductory course for general surgery. It aims to expose the
student to clinical skills, clinical diagnosis and the pathophysiology of surgical

Principles of Surgery for the 6th year students 2

A 9-‐credit-‐hour course in Medicine that lasts over 9 weeks and is offered to 6th year medical students for 4 rotations
per year. The course concentrates on patients’ management, follow-‐up and principles of therapeutics

Four rotations per year, each is nine weeks duration. An OSCE examination is
a requirement at the end of the course followed by final certifying examination
