This module aims to inform the students about the population geography and its importance and also to study the basic population issues from geographical point of view; also the module concerns with understanding and analysis of the spatial differences in population distribution, structure, growth rate, density, immigration and the link of this population phenomenon with economic, social and spatial factors. It also informs student about the demographic parameters such as birth rate, mortality, immigration and the factors affecting all.
In addition, the module is concerned with studying the demographic change and some related theories and population polices. In explaining some related concepts and matters, the course depends on applied examples drawn from Arab countries in general and the Kingdom in particular.
