Skaka Community College Scientific Research Plan Introduction:

The scientific research is one of the basic pillars on which universities depend on achieving their mission, where there is the elite of creative minds. In this belief, the research plan of the community college in Skaka aims to raise scientific research in its belief in the role of scientific research in community development. The research plan should be linked to research axes and is derived from a future vision of the department, or from a science and technology policy adopted by the department to play its role in economic and social development. It is better to choose the research areas based on the plan and visions of the university and based on the needs of the community, rather research plan for the department and develop a clear mechanism to assess the extent to which the plan put forward, and must conform to the plan of scientific research with human and financial resources of the college and university. A clear realistic plan for scientific research is established to verify the mission of the college and the university and determine the scope of the department's research service for the university and society, and the activities that serve the scientific research in the department including workshops, scientific meetings, transform distinguished research experiences for faculty members and discussion of important research issues.

To promote scientific research, which helps to produce knowledge in financial management, and to develop policies and programs that contribute to the achievement of the mission and objectives of the college and university and to develop the academic and professional performance of faculty members.

Third: The objectives of scientific research in the faculty:

The scientific research aims at:

 Publish research in prestigious scientific journals.

 Conduct research and studies in the field of administrative and financial sciences, which contribute to the improvement and development of this sector in line with the vision of the university.

 Provide consultations and studies that contribute to the development of the fields of administrative and financial sciences and community service.

Fourth: The foundations and criteria on which the research plan of the college was formulated:

General principles include: the needs of the community, achieve the mission of the department, college and university.

Special rules of the department, including the number of members of the department, taking into account the general and precise specialization of the members.

Fifth: Procedures to be adopted to achieve the priorities of scientific research in the faculty:

 Dissemination of the culture of cooperation between faculties and concerned bodies in the society.

 Provide the necessary resources and financial support in parallel with the size and duration of the research project.

 Provide at least one day each week for faculty members to in implementing the research plan of the department.

The components of the implementation of the research plan

The College's research plan is based on the following criteria:

 Consistency with the overall development of the vision of the Kingdom 2030.

 Linking the scientific research plan to the vision of the university and its mission, and focus on development and community issues.

 To achieve integration and coordination among researchers in the college with the university faculties, departments and research centers.

 Provide performance indicators for monitoring, evaluating and measuring their results.

 Keeping up with scientific and technological developments in line with global research trends and local needs.

 Enhancing the community partnership with the production and industry bodies and supporting institutions for scientific research.

Mechanisms to follow up and evaluate the implementation of the scientific research plan:

 Holding awareness seminars for faculty members on the research plan and means of implementation.

 Establishment of a system to monitor the data of scientific research faculty.

 Use data and statistics that show the percentage of implementation of the research plan and the problems and shortcomings facing the implementation process,

 study the obstacles facing researchers in the college, define these obstacles, propose corrective measures and submit them to the responsible authorities to take the necessary for the success of the research plan.

 Preparing annual reports to the Vice-Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research on what has been achieved, as well as evaluating the performance and commitment to the scientific research plan.

Tenth: Research integration in the faculty:

The College seeks to encourage joint research with similar departments within the University in order to promote scientific research through the following points:

 Attracting outstanding expertise from faculty members at the local, regional and international levels.

 Benefiting from agreements concluded with local, Arab and international universities to attract visiting professors and encourage cultural and scientific exchange programs.

 Provide the requirements and material needed to make research environment and learning effective and efficient.

Eleventh: Sources of funding for research activities:

The sources of funding for research activity shall be through the Deanship of Scientific Research and the other sources of funding stipulated in the strategic plan of the University and the College.

Twelfth: Performance Indicators of the College Research Plan

 Number of papers published in refereed journals for each full-time faculty member.

 Percentage of full-time faculty members who have at least one published research and publication each year.

 Number of research papers presented at academic conferences of each faculty member.
