ABSTRACT;

This study is to identify chemical compounds of the essential oils exffacted from Lai Vung Cilnts nobilis {Dong Thap Province), Tinh Bien Ciirus hyslrix (An Giang Province) and Cho Moi Citrus limon (An Giang Province) by using the steam disttillation method with the anhydrous sodium sulphate (Na2S04). By using the gas chromatography-mass specffometry (GC-MS) method, fliis study finds that the essential oil of Lai Vung Citrus nobilis has 43 chemical compounds including major chemical compounds of thymol, o-cymene. caryophyllene, trans-a- bergamotene and caiyophyllene oxide; there are 26 chemical compounds in the essential oil of Tinh Bien Ciirus hyslrix including major chemical compounds like D-limonene, P-pinene, sabinene, terpinen-4-oI, cyclene and 3-carene and there are 32 chemical compounds in the essential oil of Cho Moi Ciirus limon including a-pinene, Ppinene. D-limonene, y -terpinene, geraniol, cih'al and neryl acetate. All these three essential oils have chemical compounds including a-Pinene, P-Pinene, D-limonene. linalool, terpinen-4-ol, p-Ocimene. caryophyllene, p- Bisabolene with different levels.
