RESULTS OF SURVEY ON SCARAB BEETLES (COLEOPTERA:
SCARABAEIDAE) IN COPIA NATURE RESERVE, SON LA PROVINCE NGUYEN THI THU HUONG, LE XUAN HUE
• SUMMARY In this paper, the initial results of study on Scarab Beetles (Scarabaeidae) in Cdpia Nature Reserve are published. Forty one (41) species belonging to 23 genera and 6 subfamilies of Scarabaeidae were collected, of them subfamily Rutelinae is the most abundant with 20 species, accounting for 48.8% of the total; Melolonthinae - 7 species (17%); Cetoninae - 6 species, (14,6%); Scarabaeinae - 5 species, (12,7%); Dynastinae - 2 species, (4,6%); Euchuinae - 1 species (2,3%). Within species collected, there are 5 newly recorded species for fauna of Vietnam (Antitrogus nigriconis, Apogonia apicalis. Apogonia cribricollis. Adoretus minuius.
Strigoderma trichaspis) and two species are listed in the Vietnam Red Data Book (Cheirotonus ballareU, Eupatorus gracilicomis).
