ABSTRACT: Developing students' total competences and qualities is one ol the most important role in basic and comprehensive innovation of education in Vietnam. Accordingiy, we need the comprehensive change in eveti aspect of education: Designing program, compiling textbooks, teaching and assessing to create a good environment for learners to form and develop their competences and personal qualities. This paper mentioned STEM ano the way to develop collaborative problem-solving competence for learners through summarizing and analyzing briefly to understand what exactly ST£f^
is and the relationship among 4 components of "Practical math", "Simple technology", "Exciting science" and "Optimal technology". The paper a'so proposed a model of educational STEfvl activities to develop the collaborative problem-solving competencies for students.
