Abstract:
The geomagnetic - ionospheric field has a very big importance in the multilateral human activities on the Earth, deciding the existence of the biosphere, directly impacting on the Earth's surface and atmosphere. In Vietnam, this role is multiplied due to the existence of the Equatorial EledroJet, which passes through the Southern part of our territory, making the geomagnetic -
ionospheric field to bear the special characteristics in comparison with the others regions of the World. In this article one presents the research results on the normal magnetic fields, secular variation, magnetic variations. Equatorial EledroJet, solar eclipse, ionosphere, especially magnetic storms and their impacts on the high electric power transmission lines 500-220kV, petrol and gas pipe-lines... in Vietnam. These results are of big significances, not only in the scientific side, but also in the practical one, remarkably contributing to the development of the Institute of Geophysics, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, having a part in the career of economical development and defense of our territory in the new stage.
