Abstract

Nowadays, along with global economic integration, the emergence of modern retail formats has changed the face of Vietnam's retail market The high living standard has increased with demands of Vietnamese consumers; their buying habits have also changed in the more mordern direction. The development of convenience stores chain is one of the inevitable characteristics of a modern distribution system due to their benefits to tfie customers. The purpose of tfie study is to identi^ the Actors that affect the development of convenience stores chain, thereby putting forward several recommendations for developing the model of convenience store chain in Vietnam

The study was conducted thraugh two stages; qualitative research followed by quantitative one through survey questionnaires with a sample of customers in a number of convenience stores like Hapro Mart, ConvenieneeMart,Shop&Go,Familv Mart, Circle K,atotalof418offieialsamples,3nd 93% ofthe response rate. Preliminary studies have indicated a number of factors and offen'ed solutions for developing chain ofconvenienee stores in Vietnam.
