Besides the main function of creaUiig water sources for electricity production, Hoa Binh hydropower plant also creates many potentials for socio-economic development, including the ability to develop aquaculture in general and the profession, cage farming in particular. This study conducted a survey of the current status of cage fish culture development and interviewed 203 fish cage farmers to find out the influencing factors and solutions to the sustainable development of this profession m Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir area The analytical results show that the locality has many solutions and has succeeded in organizing production and business, promoting favorable conditions to develop cage farming in the area. Through the use of quantitative analysis methods, the research results have shown and quantified some key factors affecting the farmine efficiency of fish cage farmers m Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir area. On that basis, the study has nronosed some solutions to develop cage farming in Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir area including Capacity buildino f fish farming households; Completing incentive pohcies, Increase access to capital; Expanding and imnro ' the quality of economic hnks; Strengthening environmental control...
