O giai doan dau, ehdng tdi da tien hdnh ghi dm vd gM nhdn nhttng Idi phdt dm cua 100 sinh viSn ndm thtt nhat, bao gdm 50 sinh viSn khoS 2012-2016 va 50 sinh vien khod 2013-2017. Kel qua ehung tdi gM nhdn dtfde cMa thdnh ba nh6m:

METHODS TO IMPROVE ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION FOR THE FIRST-YEAR ENGLISH MAJORS AT DONG THAP UNIVERSITY

Summary

The results of the study on the current pronunciation of the first year English majors at Dong Thap Oni versity showed that their English pronunciation is limited and needs more practice. Many methods were ap- plied to improve their pronunciation. The efficient ones include distinguishing the differences between tbc English and Vietnamese phonology, the onUne pronunciation practice, more practices on difficult sounds ani feedback ft'om the teachers about errors in liie recorded passages. These practice methods do play an impor- tant part in improving the first year majors' pronunciation. Practicing regulariy is the essential requirementfo all the methods to obtain good pronunciation.
