The findings of this study in 50 stands of the Manglietia conifera Dandy plantations and actual situations of the MangUetia conifera Dandy stands in Yen Son Forestry Company show that stands with no technical measures applied from planting to harvesting period, have the remaining forest individuals of the relatively high density and high crown interactive ratio. These conditions create a completing environment for nutrition among individuals in the stands with uneven distribution of individuals, which is so called individual grouping. The older the stand, the clearer the differentials of individuals. These factors will decrease the productivity and quality of the forests. Consequently, the economic value of the forests is also decreased. Therefore, this study with an aim to identify silviculture techniques such as methods, measures, timing, cycle, intensify, objects to be transformed from the small timber forests into saw timber forests, will establish stands with the optimal ecnomic effectiveness.
