20th Young Israel Camp.
'I'lw Young brael Camp ha~ Ilt'\'er served it11 purpose so faithfully and so complc>tely-thi8 is the general consensu. of opinion of all camper.
·ho spent three w eks of their holidays at Lake'ide. At a 'amp E.·ecutive meeting l1eld on Sunday, 14th January, it was apparent from the rnviews given by memb rs that this year th camp had reached a standard of Zionist fellowship and education of which the Zioni t Youth Movement could justly bo proud. It wa a camp which served a a fitting climax of a year of Zionist Youth activity throughout outh Africa, as well a an excellent beginning for an even more vigorous and active year of Zionist service. It was gratifying to note ,the changes in outlook which had taken place in many campers during the short p riod at camp. Inactive and lukewarm Zionist. returned to their hom s determined to de\·ote themseln to .the Zioni~t ideal, and the many active Zionist. will recommence their Zioni:st activities with renewed vigour nnd a desire to intensify their Zionist service, whi h is already leading them on the path to chalutziut. In spirit tho 20th Young I rael Camp has rl'ached Kibbutz life to a remarkable proximity.

MISS ELLA GOLDSTEIN VISITS CAMP.
On Friday> 12th January, the campers were treated to a visit by the Goldstein family. The visit was a well.kept secret and came as a thrilling surprise to the entire camp. Campers assembled on the dancing floor and sang Hebrew songs and danced Horahs while waiting for the Goldsteins to arrive. On their arrival the visitors were wel- c-0med over the camp microphones by Mr. Harold Stutzen and th reafter by Mr. Ghandi Block, on behalf of the camp. Miss Golds~ein addressed the campers and answered a larp:e number of ques.
tions. Professor Goldstein spoke in Russian. His inspiring message to the youth was translated by Mr. Hadley. Throughout their stay m camp the Goldsteins were showered with requests for auto- graphs and a larg number of snap~ were taken.
After tea with the camp, Ella Goldstein addressed a few words of farewell in Hebrew. Mr. Kon wis-
er thanked Miss Goldstein and her parents for the very welcome visit. On the journey to Cape Town Mrs. Goldstein paid high tribute to the Young Israel Camp and declared that she had never felt so much at home (Eretz !Rrael).
