BRITS POS

7 AUGUSTUS 2020 BLADSY 3

BRITS POS – BRITS - On Monday morning, 3 August 2020 around 01:45, it is alleged that a security guard, while patrolling the premises of a truck wash business on the R511, Zandfontein, Brits, was approached by a stranger.

The guard ran off, but directly into a group of another five suspects, of which one was armed with a firearm. The victim found that the suspects had overpowered his colleague, who was tied up and they then tied him up too and took their cellphones.

Four suspects went back to collect the property they earlier took (tyres, small appliances, computer equipment and groceries from a tuck shop on the premises). In the meantime a third security guard apparently alerted the owner/manager of the business and upon their arrival, the suspects fled the scene and left most of the stolen goods behind, but for the cellphones. SAPS Brits confirmed that an armed business robbery case had been opened.
