DIRECTIONS DATED 6 JUNE 2007

The Chief Justice has given the following directions concerning the above matter.

1. The application for leave to appeal against the judgment of the Supreme Court of Appeal and the application for condonation for late filing of the application for leave to appeal are enrolled for hearing on Thursday 6 September 2007 at 10h00.

2. The applicants must lodge the record, properly paginated and indexed, with the Registrar of this Court by Friday 29 June 2007. The record shall consist of the record lodged before the Supreme Court of Appeal (but shall not include a transcript of written argument of heads of argument lodged in that Court) and all the documents lodged in the application to this Court.

3. Written argument in respect of both applications, which shall include argument on the merits of the appeal should leave to appeal be granted, shall be lodged as follows:

(a) on behalf of the applicants by no later than Monday 9 July 2007.

(b) on behalf of the respondent by no later than Monday 23 July 2007.
