Dick Powell of "Twenty Million Sweethearts" fame, plays a leading role and a new screen find, Josephine Hutchin- son, contribute::; her histrionic ability to this sparkling picture. The supporting pro- gramme includes interesting news reels, a comedy short and music on the Wurlitzer.

The brilliant violinist, Mr. Leonid Dirsen, who for some time has been in Rhodesia has now returned to Johannesburg, where he has taken up permanent residence. Recent- ly Mr. Birsen played a concerto with the A.B.C. Concert Orchestra over the wireless and made a deep impression. He showed the possession of fine technical ability and was able to cope well with the difficult work.
"FORSAKING ALL OTHERS" AT THE METRO
Three outstanding stars, Joan Crawford, Cla_rk Gable, and Robert Montegomery, who while they have played in teams, have never appeared together, are now to be seen in
"Forsaking All Others" at the Metro Theatre this week. Supporting roles are played by Billie Burke, Charles Butter- wo;th, Frances Drake and Rosalind Russell.
This picture is a triumph for its three bril- liant stars and will be thoroughly enjoyed by all who make a point of seeing it.

which took place in the W olmarans Street Synagogue, which had been beautifully de- corated by the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs.
Wilfred Patley, and by Mrs. Sonnie Gordon, with flowers from their own gardens.
The bride was attended by a maid of honour, Miss Madge Marks, and the brides-~ maids were the Misses Beatrice and Lilian Treisman, Leah Goodman and Gertrude
Sand. -
Mr. Fred Goodman was the best man and the groomsman was Mr. George Orkin. The unterfuhrers were Mr. and Mrs. Patley, and }fr. and Mrs. B. Kaumheimer.
